Lee White is considered one of the finest traditional Irish/Scottish singers in North America today, and with her powerful yet soft driven style of fiddle playing she truly is one of the young talents to be watching for. Lee is currently a fill in member with the legendary San Francisco Bay Area Celtic band Golden Bough. Lee White has been playing the violin since she was six years old and studied with legendary classical teacher Michael Yokass. She has also been part of the San Francisco Girls' Chorus for five years (from 2000-2005) as a first soprano. Lee performed solo before she became more heavily involved in Celtic music, playing guitar and singing covers at fourteen to fifteen years old. In May of 2008, Lee went on tour to Ireland with her previous band "Drowsy Maggie", playing fiddle with "Banjo Man" Stacy Samuels, accordionist Dorcus Mouton, and guitarist Jean White.
